The first verse and chorus in "Island Style" - were written in the winter of "1994" while I was living in New York City. I was feeling homesick and missing my family, especially my Mom"s cooking. When I returned to the Islands I wrote the Grandma verse and the slack key guitar part.
Each track is introduced by John Cruz in his own words, in a similar manner, within the full four-panel, redisigned CD Liner Inserts included with each CD. This Album is already a proven winner and is now New and Improved.
